GANGTOK,: SKM Lok Sabha candidate Indra Hang Subba on Wednesday concluded his
election campaign with daylong public engagements in various corners of West
Sikkim, informs his campaign team.

also reached remote Yuksam-Tashiding constituency and interacted with the local
public at different locations where he spoke about the works done by him in
these five years as the Lok Sabha MP from Sikkim. He also highlighted how he
persistently raised the issues of Sikkim in the Parliament, and promised to
double up his efforts if elected for the second term.
“I have
consistently advocated for Sikkim's interests in the Parliament. I have
championed the cause of the left-out communities, striving for their inclusion
under Scheduled Tribe status, and vehemently opposed the Citizenship Amendment
Act, recognizing its potential threat to our unique State,” said Indra Hang,
also the sitting Lok Sabha MP.
Also on
the day, Indra Hang joined a mass rally organised by the SKM at
Maneybung-Dentam constituency along with party candidate Sudesh Kumar Subba,
appealing to the people to extend their vote to the SKM.
During his
meetings with the students, Indra Hang sought their votes and promised to
further modernize the public education sector through e-libraries, well
equipped labs, digital classrooms and more libraries in government schools. He
also promised to promote literary pursuits through book fairs, and art and
literature festival, and to facilitate sports meet.

is among the 14 candidates for the lone Lok Sabha seat from Sikkim which goes
to simultaneous Assembly and Parliamentary elections on April 19.
