GANGTOK, : MoS (Cooperation and Civil Aviation)Murlidhar Mohol called on Governor
Om Prakash Mathur at Raj Bhavan onSaturday.During the
meeting, they discussed various key issues pertaining to Sikkim and air
connectivity in the State, a Raj Bhavan release informs.
The
Governor emphasized the urgent need to operationalize an advanced landing
system at Pakyong Airport at the earliest. Additionally, discussions were held
regarding the commencement of flights by other airlines apart from SpiceJet.
The Union Minister assured that air services would commence soon and that the advanced landing system would be made operational at the earliest. He further stated that flights from other airlines would also begin operating from Pakyong Airport in the near future, the release mentions.
