Jyotiraditya Scindia slams Bengal government

SILIGURI,: Union minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and Communication Jyotiraditya Scindia spoke with media persons on RJ Kar incident at Bagdogra Airport today evening before leaving for Gangtok for a two-day visit of Sikkim.

He criticized the Bengal government for failing to ensure women’s safety.

“An atmosphere of fear and terror has been created in West Bengal in the last few years,” he stated. “During Trinamool period, no action is being taken after killing of women; efforts are being made to save the criminals. No one is safe here!”

During his Sikkim visit, the Union minister is scheduled to meet with Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) on the morning of September 6 at Samman Bhawan, Gangtok. The meeting will focus on key development issues and initiatives for the State, aiming to foster progress and address regional needs, informs a PIB release.
