Teacher’s Day

SANT RAJINDER SINGH JI MAHARAJ

Today is the day we honor our Gurus, today is the day we celebrate as Teacher’s Day.

Whenever a child aspires to learn about anything in this world, we seek for a teacher who masters in the related field. We are all aware of the crucial role a teacher plays in the life of a student. Under a teacher’s guidance, not only does a student learn the academics but also seeks a direction into the future.

Much similar to the teacher – student relationship is the relationship of a spiritual master and their disciples. If we want to seek spiritual growth, devoting ourselves to the lotus feet of a complete spiritual master is indispensable. A complete spiritual master is whole in every way spiritually. At any time, a complete spiritual master is present in this world who can connect us with the divine power of God which runs across them through meditation.

When we are around a complete spiritual master, we get to know about the transmigration cycle of birth and death, and that, it is only in the human birth that our soul can find its union with the almighty and fulfill the true purpose of this human life. We learn that God is an ocean of love, and our soul is a part of God, and the only way back to God is love. A spiritual master not only helps us spiritually but makes us realize the love of God by extending a helping hand in every walk of life.

When a spiritual master initiates a disciple in the mystics of the beyond, he teaches them about the practice of meditation. He tells them that we need to focus our attention between and behind the two eyebrows, at the seat of the soul, also called the Inner Eye or the ‘shivnetra’.

As we devote more time to meditation, we experience the divine light and sound of God within ourselves. Just like any teacher intends to help their students reach their materialistic goals, a Spiritual master with his divine love helps each soul fulfil the very purpose of life by rising into the spiritual realms and reaching their true home, Sachkhand.

So, let’s not just celebrate today, 5th September, Teacher’s Day, to honor our worldly teachers but also our Spiritual Master. It is only through them that our soul can be free from the cycle of birth and death and merge with our true creator, God.
