Air Marshal visits Kurseong IAF station

GANGTOK,(PIB): Air Marshal RD Mathur, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, Indian Air Force (IAF) visited Air Force Station, Kurseong on December 18.
The Air Marshal was accompanied by Shipra Mathur, president, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), Eastern Air Command. They were received by Group Captain Y K Bajaj, Station Commander and Manisha Bajaj, president, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local).
On arrival, the Air Marshal was introduced to key personnel of the station. The dignitary was also briefed about the station and units as well as ongoing major projects.
On his maiden visit to the station, the Air Marshal interacted with all personnel of the station. He exhorted them to remain operationally focused, physically fit, mentally agile in highest traditions of the IAF.
Shipra Mathur, president, AFWWA (R) presided over a meeting with ‘Vayu Sanginis’ of the station and showed keen interest in welfare activities of the station. She visited ventures, AF School, medicare center and interacted with the staff.
