CM extends financial support for treatment of journalist Suraj Rai

GANGTOK,: In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity and compassion, Chief Minister PS Golay has extended financial support to Darjeeling journalist Suraj Rai who recently met a tragic accident while on duty.

On behalf of the Chief Minister, media coordinator Dichen Ongmu visited Mukherjee Hospital in Siliguri to handover the financial support from the Chief Minister to the under-treatment journalist on Tuesday.

Suraj Rai is chief editor of AJ News, Darjeeling. His unfortunate accident, which gained widespread public attention, left him requiring urgent surgery.
