GANGTOK,: Citizen Action Party (CAP)-Sikkim chief coordinator Ganesh Rai on Friday held a coordination meeting for Temi-Namphing constituency, South Sikkim at Diu Damthang.
A CAP Sikkim release informs that it was attended by senior functionaries and executive members including working president DB Gurung (Stephen), Kiran Zimba, Ongden Tshering Lepcha, Chandra Mani Tiwari, Lakpa Sherpa, Albert Gurung and Ratna Rai.
The meeting deliberated on important issues concerning the people of the assembly constituency related with house allotment schemes, Aama schemes, etc.
Ganesh Rai gave a patience hearing to the sorry state of affairs faced by the people at grassroots level and how the present dispensation has ill-treated common people while giving an easy passage to elite section of the society, said the CAP-Sikkim.
In his address, the CAP-Sikkim chief coordinator highlighted the shortcomings of the present government which has cost enormous loss to the people of Sikkim in past few years. “All these shortcomings are due to mismanagement and lack of good governance in the State that has led Sikkim into economic, political and democratic crises. Now the only hope lies with a party that will work in true Sikkimese spirit,” he said.
Rai assured people not to lose hope anymore as with the birth of CAP-Sikkim, the State has found a new hope that will bring glory to Sikkim and make Sikkimese people one of the best and self-reliant citizens of the nation soon. He shared the party’s ideals, visions, policies and other important subjects with the people present.
Rai thanked people for taking a courageous step forward to end the politics of fear, corrupt practises, pariwarvad in Sikkim and reaffirmed party’s true commitment towards Sikkim and its people, the CAP-Sikkim release states.
