CM discharged from Siliguri hospital

SILIGURI,: Sikkim Chief Minister PS Golay was discharged from the private hospital in Siliguri and headed for Gangtok on Sunday morning.

Golay had been admitted to the private hospital on Saturday at Matigara here while returning from his visit to Bokar monastery, Mirik.

Dr. PD Bhutia, who was looking after him, said the Chief Minister is absolutely fine and discharged on Sunday.

According to Dr. Bhutia, the Chief Minister underwent a small surgical procedure.

“His overall health status is absolutely fine. Dr DP Rai, senior consultant Interventional Cardiologist from Sikkim, also visited him to inquire about his overall well-being”, said Dr. Bhutia. The Chief Minister is in good condition and no serious health issues were reported, said he said.

The Chief Minister has already shared through social media that he is presently in good health and plans to resume his responsibilities shortly.
