Governor, CM takes part in Holi celebrations at MG Marg

GANGTOK, (IPR): The vibrant festival of Holi was celebrated with great enthusiasm at MG Margin presence of Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. The festivities marked a joyful occasion filled with colors, love, and the spirit of spring.

Over the years, Holi has evolved into a festival that transcends cultural and religious boundaries, uniting people from all walks of life in an atmosphere of  togetherness and mutual respect. In Sikkim, known for its rich cultural mosaic, the festival has taken on a special significance, embodying the State’s ethos of unity in diversity.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted how Sikkim thrives on the harmonious coexistence of various communities, languages, and traditions.

“Holi, with its vibrant hues, serves as a powerful reminder that despite differences, people are connected by shared values of peace, inclusivity, and harmony”, he mentioned.

The celebrations at MG Marg reflected this beautifully, with people coming together to celebrate not just Holi, but the collective identity that defines Sikkim, further added the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister concluded his address with a hopeful message for Holi to continue inspiring goodwill, strengthening communal harmony and enduring sense of unity and prosperity among all communities in the State.
