SILIGURI,: A JCB operator died in an accident that took place in one of the tunnels of Sevoke-Rangpo railway project near Bhalukhop under Kalimpong district of West Bengal on Monday morning.
The JCB operator, who was working inside tunnel number-10 located between Melli and Tarkhola, lost his life after a heap of concrete and soil fell on him.
The deceased has identified as Shankar Barman, a resident of Mynaguri under Coochbehar district of West Bengal. Shankar was working in the tunnel when suddenly a portion from the above fell on him today morning at around 10. He was soon rushed to Rambi hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
