“KOMAL CHAMLING, YOU SHOULD SPARE YOUR LECTURE FOR YOUR FATHER!”

Dear Komal Chamling,

I sincerely hope that this letter reaches you in good health

Komal Chamling, your desperation after people of Sikkim have been supporting Chief Minister PS Tamang (Golay) was on full display in your social media video release regarding employees of Sikkim, In which your main attempt was to defame Hon’ble Chief Minister and SKM party for political mileage. You, should sincerely refer to the government orders issued from DOP, Vigilance, HRDD during 1994 to 2019 to judge the amount of torture government employees had to face from your father Pawan Kumar Chamling.

You should refresh your knowledge by listening to your father Pawan Chamling’s speech wherein he openly threatened the public and employees by his famous dialogue "Teen lakh yuva ko Cha lakh haat haru". Followed by the election speech of Former SDF minister Tshering Wangdi Lepcha who also like his master threatened Government employees of victimization after election in front of his master at Mangan to which his master (Chamling) concurred by clapping.

I would like to enumerate some of the most reprehensible violence that your father Pawan Chamling and his SDF party carried out against the members of opposition parties then –

•Kunga Nima Lepcha, senior most Minister today was viciously attacked in broad daylight at Jorethang by SDF supporters in 2009, and today for political mileage your father speaks about BL reservation after attacking KN Lepcha.

• On the 12th of August, 2012, the current spokesperson of the SDF party Mr. J.B. Darnal was fatally attacked at Namthang who was then a Congress party worker, and today for political mileage your father acts like a saint and chants “sikkim bachao”. People of Sikkim have already saved Sikkim from your father in 2019.

• Bharat Basnett, a senior politician was not allowed to speak at Namthang. His microphone was forcefully snatched and he was severely beaten up by SDF supporters. You should ask your father about all this if you are unaware about.

• Dr Subash Tamang, a government doctor was attacked with Khukuri at Dentam by SDF supporters on direction from your father, and today you shamelessly speak about Govt employees for political mileage?

• Laten Sherpa and Bikash Dahal, both then members of BJP were severely beaten by SDF goons in broad daylight at Namchi in 2018 and today your father talks about democracy.

• Many cold-blooded murders also took place during SDF regime. Late N.K. Gurung died in mysterious circumstance and whose brother, in 2015, claimed that N.K. Gurung was murdered by SDF goons.

• Houses of opposition members used to be burnt, udders of cows belonging to opposition members used to be chopped off and vehicles belonging to leaders of opposition parties used to be torched on a regular basis.

Your father Pawan Chamling’s terror did not only extend to members of opposition parties. His twenty-five years of cruel government was an unending nightmare for those government employees who refused to do Pawan Chamling’s bidding. Following are some examples:

• 1063 teachers were mass-victimized after 2014 election.

• Promotion of officers were obstructed by Pawan Chamling by making it compulsory for the employees to face Screening Committee which was constituted especially to harass the government employees who did not grovel before Pawan Chamling. The Committee was dissolved by the SKM government.

• Promotion of officers from HRDD department (Deputy Directors) and Finance department (Accounts Officers) were cancelled by Pawan Chamling in 2019. You should have a look at order no :5829/G/DOP dated:18/02//2019. Such was the traumatic condition of govt employees during your father’s tenure.

• No cadre review was done in many departments in the entire period of twenty-five years. Some of such department facing injustice from Pawan Chamling’s whims was HRDD, Mechanical Engineering. Justice was given only after the SKM party came to power and cadre review for Such department was approved after 30 years long years.

• 2016 Pay Revision Committee was set up by Pawan Chamling only in 2018, right before elections and that too the full amount was given only after the SKM Government came to power. You father could not even pay full arrears to Employees in 25 years also.

• During Pawan Chamling term as the Chief Minister, promotions were mostly done before elections only which was also on up-gradation basis only, no substantive promotion was given easily, all such misrule by your father was a big setback for the junior officers. Promotions are now approved on a daily basis and employees do not need to wait till elections. Now a proper system has been put in place for it unlike your father’s officiating promotion before vote policy.

• Ad hoc teachers were not given salaries during winter vacation. Did your father think that ad-hoc teachers need not consume food during winters? Fortunately for them PS Golay became the Chief Minister in 2019 after which their lives changed. Regularization of teachers which you father could not do in 25 years has been done in a systematic way by SKM Government.

• Your father tortured employees by the use of vigilance, every Friday employees were caught and jailed on pick and choose basis. None of the vigilance cases imposed by your father could be proved in court and all fabricated cases were dismissed, even teachers were not spared. Komal Chamling you should ask your dad why did he put a vigilance case on Mrs Krishna rai who was a graduate teacher posted at Namchi sr sec school?

• Ex-Minister Dr MK Sharma’s wife was also victimized by your father to a remote place in west district after 2014 elections and while Going for her duty to west she met with an unfortunate accident and died. Ask your dad if he regrets this or not?

• No Employees on MR, Ad-hoc, Contractual basis were regularized during first 20 years of SDF rule from 1994 to 2014. It is only after SKM party was formed in 2013 Chamling distributed memorandum for regularization, but after he won in 2014 those employees had to knock high court’s doors to get their rights. After high court’s intervention Chamling was forced to regularize them but again cunningly he degraded the post of employees in regular establishment. LDC on ad-hoc basis was regularized as junior LDC. What is a bigger mental harassment to employees than this?

• OFOJ employees in Sikkim very well know about case WP(PIL) No. 09 of 2020 filed at Hon’ble High Court of Sikkim on instruction and financial support of your father on 14^th December 2020. This is an open secret and such acts validates with the DNA of your father Pawan Chamling.

Today for optics and political mileage of submerged SDF party, your love has all of a sudden grown for the employees after your father tortured the employees for 25 years like the Britishers did to India? You and your father should be the last persons in this planet to speak about employees of Sikkim. All the employees of Sikkim very well know about the DNA of your father.
