GANGTOK,: The new district body of Sikkim Kho Kho Association (SKKA) was formed in a meeting held on April 9.
The meeting was chaired by SKKA president B.K. Rokha and attended by the vice president, general secretary, joint secretary, publicity secretary, treasurer, SKKA senior coach and other members of the district, informs a press release.
The meeting discussed the upcoming Kho Kho State level championship to be held at Kyongsha ground, Geyzing from May 13 to 14. A total of 12 teams will participate in the championship, consisting of six girls' and six boys' teams from each district, it was informed.
The development of Kho Kho teams in all government schools was also discussed.
Six district associations of SKKA were formed after the meeting. Hence, all the activities in six districts will be done by them in consultation with the central committee.
The SKKA president informed that the shortage of funds in the association has been shared with KKFI Delhi and Sports department and request has been made for the financial support.
The second review meeting will be held by the month end for further discussion, the release mentions.
