GANGTOK, : The concluding day of the
Sikkim Blue Duke Festival witnessed cultural events and performances by Wangden Sherpa, JhumaLimbu, Mellow Preachers and others.
The event also included a
fashion show organised by Positude, dance performances by Mighty Sikkim and
“Shiva act” by SushantGhimire and Mushar Sharma.
The special guests for the
concluding ceremony were MLAs L.B. Das and SonamVenchungpa, Political secretary
to the Chief Minister, Jacob Khaling, SKM spokesperson YouganTamang, LokSabha
MP Indra Hang Subba and others..
“The Sikkim Blue Duke festival
may sound ordinary, just like any other festival, but this first-of-its-kind
festival is dedicated to the youth of Sikkim. Discussions on topics like AI and
Robotics were much needed for our students, and I would like to thank our MP
Indra Hang Subba for the initiative. I would also thank CM PS Golay for his
support. This festival is the first in the Northeast to host a knowledge-based festival,
with experts from India. Students and entrepreneurs will benefit from the
festival,” said Jacob Khaling.
