GANGTOK,: Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya has initiated a comprehensive
quarter renovation project under the aegis of ‘Raj Bhawan Parisar, Sukhim
Parivar’. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the living conditions of the Raj
Bhawan staff residing in the quarters of Raj Bhawan, a press release on Monday
informs.
The
event commenced with the unveiling of the commemorative plaque by the Governor.
Following this, the Governor inspected each of the recently renovated quarters
and engaged in direct interaction with the occupants. He connected with the
residents and gained valuable insights into their experiences through
understanding the positive changes brought about by the renovation efforts, the

Addressing
the gathered audience, the Governor emphasised the value of bringing happiness

to complete his one-year in Sikkim, he expressed the significance of witnessing
the contentment and joy in the eyes of the staff today.
"This
marks the most special day for me as I see the contentment and happiness in the
eyes of my staff," stated Acharya. He attributed the success of this

Buildings department officers and staff, Raj Bhawan officers and staff, and
everyone involved in the initiative.
The
Governor personally handed over the keys to the Raj Bhawan employees, who are
also the residents of the quarters. Simultaneously, he presented khadas to the labourers, commending them
