RANGPO,: IRCON International Limited achieved breakthrough of tunnel no. 11 on Sevoke-Rangpo Rail Project.
Located under Kalimpong district in
West Bengal, this is sixth main tunnel to achieve breakthrough. Just a month
ago, tunnel no. 12 located between Tarkhola and Sukiyakhola saw breakthrough.
The 45-km broad gauge rail line consists of 14 tunnels, 17 bridges and five
stations with 38.65 km of the entire rail line passing through tunnels. At
least 25.36 km of tunnel work has been completed.
