Sikkim University VC meets President Draupadi Murmu

GANGTOK,: Sikkim University vice chancellor Prof. Avinash Khare met President of India Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi today and apprised the President about the shifting of the university campus to Yangang.

The vice chancellor also mentioned about the successful saffron cultivation efforts in Sikkim initiated by Sikkim University.

President Draupadi Murmu appreciated the efforts of the university to shift Sikkim University to the permanent campus and gave her blessings and best wishes. She also lauded the efforts of the university on the commendable initiation of saffron farming in Sikkim to enhance farmers’ income, informs a press release.

Prof. Khare was accompanied by his wife Varsha Khare in his meeting with the President.
