SORENG, (IPR): The second and final day of the EVM commissioning process for the conduct of Panchayat Elections, 2022 for Soreng district concluded today at the District Control Room located at Government B. Ed College, Soreng.
Under the supervision of the Returning Officer-cum-District Collector Soreng, Bhim Thatal, the individually assigned teams of 8 Sector Magistrates under 4 Assistant Returning Officers, Dhiraj Subedi, ADC Soreng, Gaayas Pega, ADC (Dev), Ranjan Rai, SDM Soreng and DR Bista, SDM (HQ) successfully completed the commissioning of EVMs.
The commissioning process of the Electronic Voting Machines today was done in 20 phases for elections to be held in 159 polling stations (Zilla Panchayat) spread across 17 Territorial Constituencies.
It may be mentioned here that the commissioning of EVMs for 94 polling stations spread across 36 Gram Panchayat Units was concluded yesterday.
