74.85% polling in Soreng district

SORENG, (IPR): The casting of votes for the Panchayat Elections, 2022 for territorial constituencies and wards concluded at 5:00 pm in all the polling stations under Soreng district.

Arriving as the first team with the returning EVMs and polling materials was from the polling station of Karthok Primary School - Booth No. 4. Likewise, the first Pink Polling Booth to arrive was from Malbasey Panchayat Ghar- Booth No. 1.

The total percentage of votes polled in Soreng district are - Male - 77.21%, Female – 72.44% with the total polling being 74.85%.

Similarly, the highest voter's percentage was 89.92% in Reshi, and the lowest voter's percentage was recorded to be 42.75% in Hattavan (Anden Wolung Gumpa).

Simultaneously, voting through postal ballots was also carried out in the District Control Room.
