GANGTOK, July 24 (IPR): Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang met Urban Development minister Bhoj Raj Rai and MLA-cum-advisor Delay Namgyal Barfungpa at Mintokgang today morning.
They were accompanied by Urban Development secretary M.T. Sherpa and mission director Jigmee Bhutia.
The purpose of the visit was to present the award to the Chief Minister that Sikkim had won in Hilly & North Eastern States category in the PM SVANidhi 'PRAISE' Awards 2023-24.
The award was presented by Union Minister for Urban and Housing Affairs Manohar Lall Khattar at a ceremony held at the Habitat Centre, New Delhi on July 18.
“I was delighted to know that Sikkim has been awarded the second rank among Hilly & North Eastern States in the PM SVANidhi 'PRAISE' Awards 2023-24. This recognition was presented by Hon'ble Union Minister for Urban and Housing Affairs Shri Manohar Lall Khattar Ji at a ceremony held at the Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on July 18, 2024,” the Chief Minister said.
He further commented “I extend my heartiest congratulations to the entire department for their exceptional hard work and dedication in achieving this honour and encourage them to continue their efforts and attain further success.”
