Chief Minister’s press secretary and media coordinator meets PCS executive body

GANGTOK,: Yougan Tamang, Press Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Dichen Ongmu Bhutia, Media Coordinator to the Chief Minister, met the newly elected executives of the Press Club of Sikkim (PCS) today, congratulating them and briefing them on recent developments in press and media affairs in the state.

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay had earlier met the PCS executives on June 8, congratulating them on their new term and assuring continued government support for press and media development in Sikkim.

Yougan Tamang said the new PCS executive body, led by president Samir Hang Limboo, reflects a strong mix of youthful energy and experience, and expressed confidence it would further strengthen the PCS’s role in serving the State and media fraternity. He added that a free and responsible media strengthens democracy in the State, and that he looks forward to the Club's continued contribution in this regard.

Dichen Ongmu Bhutia also spoke on ongoing press and media developments in Sikkim. She congratulated the team and wished them well for the upcoming PCS Foundation Day.

PCS president Samir Hang Limboo thanked the officials for extending the courtesy call to congratulate the new executive body, a press release informs.
