GANGTOK,: Sikkimese footballers of Gangtok-based Academy Knights FC have brought glory for their home State in Uttarakhand State League and Hero AIFF Futsal Club Championship 2024.
It was informed that the Sikkim players featured for Corbett FC which won both the Uttarakhand State League and the AIFF Futsal Club Championship.
Corbett FC were crowned champions of the AIFF Futsal Club Championship 2024 after defeating Golazo FC 3-2 at the Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Vadodara on Sunday. Five players from Academy Knights played for Corbett FC in the futsal championship with goalkeeper Lakpa Dorjee Bhutia as the team captain.
Similarly, the Corbett FC squad for the Uttarakhand State League featured 10 players from Sikkim.
