SRM University Sikkim, Black Cat Division sign MoU

GANGTOK,: SRM University Sikkim and Black Cat Division, Gangtok recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding for offering various diploma degrees under the project ‘SAMIKSHA’.

Vice chancellor Prof. Ch. Sathish Kumar, associate dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Manisha Thakuri and associate dean of Faculty of IT, Management and Commerce Sundarrajan N. from SRM University, GOC Major General R.C. Tiwari, deputy GOC Brigadier Harsh Vardhan Singh, Col. G.S. Kunal Sharma, Col. N.K. Sharma, Col. Vikram Singh Sankhla and Naib Subedar /AEC (coordinator) Harvinder Singh from the Black Cat Division were present for the event. 

The project was taken forward in the view of creating certification for employment opportunities for the jawans after their service in the Indian Army and also for the promotion of the various cadres while serving in Indian Army, informs a press release.

A noble initiative which began as a pilot project in the year 2016 has proved to be fruitful for around 1,000 jawans now. Both the firms are looking forward for another three years of productive collaboration through the project SAMIKSHA.

The vice chancellor and the GOC expressed their happiness and extended their complete support for the success of this project.  Both the veterans also talked about the possible avenues for the Army of officer rank to pursue their higher studies in the university. Both the teams are firmly looking forward for the scrupulous execution of the project, the release mentions.
