GANGTOK,: Sikkim BJP unit today celebrated the 47th Foundation Day of the party today with vibrant district-level programmes organised at all District Party Offices across the State.

The programmes were graced by the presence of State vice presidents, general secretaries, senior party executives, district Presidents, functionaries, and a large number of dedicated karyakartas from the respective districts, a party press release informs.

Events were held at the Gangtok City Office for Gangtok District, Singtam State Office for Pakyong District, and Namchi, Geyzing and Soreng District Offices for the respective districts. The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the BJP flag at all venues, followed by formal programmes.

On this auspicious occasion, the party warmly congratulated and felicitated the three winning BJP candidates who were elected unopposed in ongoing Sikkim Municipal Elections.

The gathering also extended best wishes and support to Srijana Chettri, the BJP candidate from the DPH (Diesel Power House) ward under Gangtok Municipal Corporation, contesting in the upcoming poll.
