A coordination meeting was held at Rhenock Bazaar today to address issues
related to the cleanliness of the market and the enforcement of a ban on
single-use plastics.
The
meeting discussed how to enhance cleanliness in and around the market. Emphasis
was laid on regular waste management practices and involving local vendors and
residents in maintaining a clean environment.
Suggestions
were made for decorating and beautifying the marketplace to create a welcoming
environment for both locals and visitors. This includes arranging greenery,
proper lighting, and maintaining an organized layout of shops and stalls.
A
strict ban on the use of single-use plastics was discussed and reinforced.
Vendors were encouraged to adopt alternatives like cloth or paper bags,
promoting an eco-friendly approach in daily business operations.
The
meeting was conducted under the guidance of Navraj Lamsal, Bazaar Officer,
Urban Development department, Pakyong.
Lamsal,
who was present as the meeting, emphasized the importance of collective efforts
by the market stakeholders to implement these changes effectively.
Following
the meeting, the official led a thorough inspection of the market. During the
inspection, he interacted with vendors and shopkeepers, encouraging them to
adhere to the discussed guidelines. Issues related to waste disposal, plastic

The
stakeholders agreed to establish regular monitoring mechanisms to ensure the
