Darjeeling District wins State Senior Platinum Cup Throwball Championship

SILIGURI,: Darjeeling district became the champions in the West Bengal State Senior Platinum Cup Throwball Championship 2024 held at Akondobaria SC High School, Kaliyachawk, Malda.

Bagdogra's Good Shepherd School students topped in the two-day event defeating North 24 Parganas two sets to one in the final.

Shamim Siddiqui, coach of Good Shepherd School, said that 17 teams had participated in the men’s and women’s category.

“Our schools represented Darjeeling district and became topper in the championship and Rajashree Roy Choudhury has been awarded with the ‘Player of the Tournament Award’,”said Siddiqui.

This is the 3rd time that Darjeeling district has become State champions.
