GANGTOK,: The grand celebration of Durga Puja commenced today at Rangpo, the main entry point of Sikkim, with vibrant festivities taking place across three major locations—Rangpo Upper Bazar, Rangpo Mandi Bazar, and IBM. The event, which has drawn large crowds of devotees and visitors, is marked by stunning pandals, intricate decorations, and dazzling light displays, creating a festive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the occasion.

Each of the three puja venues features a unique and colorful pandal, designed to captivate visitors with its beauty and cultural significance. The artistic decorations and lighting arrangements have become a major attraction, drawing people from both Sikkim and neighboring areas. These decorations not only enhance the festive mood but also pay homage to the cultural heritage and traditional artistry associated with Durga Puja.

A significant spiritual gathering has been observed at all three pandals, with devotees and spiritual leaders coming together in large numbers to offer prayers and seek blessings from Goddess Durga. The atmosphere is charged with devotion as spiritual hymns and rituals are performed throughout the day, with a focus on invoking the goddess’s blessings for prosperity and the triumph of good over evil.

The organizing committees at each location have worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth conduct of the puja, with arrangements made for crowd management, safety, and the comfort of attendees. The event not only serves as a spiritual occasion but also as an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate their cultural roots.

Rangpo, as the main entry point to Sikkim, is bustling with activity, and the Durga Puja celebrations add to the vibrancy of the town.
