Five Sikkim students attend Science and Innovation Festival

NAMCHI: Five students from Sikkim presented their innovative ideas at Science and Innovation Festival 2020 held at North Bengal Science Centre, at Matigara, Siliguri from January 20 to 22. Organised by North Bengal Science Centre, in collaboration with National Innovation Foundation, India, the three-day science festival included open house quiz and popular science lectures along with science model exhibitions.
The five participants from Sikkim were Prashant Lamichaney from Temi, South Sikkim with his project 'Nayan' for visually-impaired persons, Sampurna Darjee, also from Temi, with her project 'anti-suicide fan', Bishu Hang Limboo from Bermiok, West Sikkim with his project 'mechanical broom', Ayush Ranjan from Rangpo, East Sikkim with his project 'automatic LPG cylinder booking system' and Dhananjay Sahani from Rangpo with his project 'the better school'. They were mentored and guided by Pintu Hati, an innovation associate from NIF.
