Kailash Kher applauds Sikkim CM’s vision for Jorethang Maghey Mela

NAMCHI,  (IPR): Renowned Indian singer Kailash Kher has commended Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang for his visionary efforts in elevating the Jorethang Maghey Sankranti Mela to national and international acclaim. Performing at the festival’s grand closing ceremony, Kher and his band Kailasa praised the Chief Minister’s commitment to showcasing Sikkim’s cultural heritage on a global platform.

Speaking at the event, Kher remarked, “CM Tamang is like my brother, and his endeavour to promote Jorethang Maghey Mela at the national and international level is truly remarkable.”

He further highlighted the festival’s potential to garner attention like other renowned festivals of the country, emphasizing the importance of positioning the Maghey Mela as a key event in India’s cultural landscape.

Pledging his unconditional support for Sikkim, Kher added, “I will always stand with Sikkim and its initiatives.”
