Oath taking ceremony of newly elected Mangan district panchayats

MANGAN, (IPR): The oath taking ceremony of the newly elected Zilla Panchayats and Gram Panchayats of Mangan district was administered by DC Mangan, A.B. Karki at conference hall, District Administrative Centre, Pentok today.

The programme had the presence of DC Mangan, A.B. Karki, ADC Dev (Mangan), DPO (Mangan), DS Election (Mangan), SDMs, BDOs and newly elected Zilla Panchayats and Gram Panchayats.

The Mangan DC addressing the gathering congratulated the newly elected Zilla Panchayats and Gram Panchayats of the district on behalf of the district administration. He highlighted the various duties and responsibilities of the Panchayat members and urged everyone present to work together collectively for the citizens of the district and expressed his hope that they will do their work with utmost sincerity and integrity. He also mentioned the need to elect the Adhakshya, Upadhakshya and Panchayat presidents of the district in the ensuing week.

Earlier, the certificates for uncontested candidates of both Zilla and Gram Panchayat candidates were also handed over.

It may also be mentioned that a pledge to protect child rights on the eve of Children's Day was also administered to the newly elected panchayat members by the Mangan DC.
