Pakyong Airport wall leaks fresh landslide

PAKYONG,: A fresh landslide occurred from Pakyong Airport hall on Monday morning at around 10am in between Pakyong Bazaar and Bhanuturning, disrupting movement of people and vehicles.

Though the road was cleared for one-way traffic but there was fear among the public that the debris might hit their vehicles or them.

An alternative road from Pakyong to Bhanuturning is much needed, informed the local residents as the debris from the airport wall may fall at any time and the road is just below the airport wall.

Though there was no rainfall today but there were landslides comprising the dry earth soil and boulders. The falling of boulders and earth soil is a continuous process since last year at this stretch.
