Sardar Patel’s statue unveiled at Raj Bhawan

GANGTOK,:  The statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was unveiled at Raj Bhawan premises by Union Home minister Amit Shah on Friday in the presence of Governor Ganga Prasad and Chief Minister P.S. Golay followed by the unveiling of the Flag Mast.
The brief function at the Raj Bhawan also witnessed the launch of a documentary on “Life of Ganga Prasad” and a coffee table book "Pragati Pathi" by the Union Home minister.
As a token of gratitude, a replica of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue was presented to the Union Home minister by the Governor of Sikkim.
Earlier, the Union minister was received at Libing Helipad, Deorali here by Chief Minister P.S. Golay.  Also present were the Speaker SLA, deputy Speaker SLA, MLAs, MP Lok Sabha, dignitaries from Delhi, chief secretary, Gangtok DC and officers from the Home department.
