Sonada college assessed for first time by NAAC gets 'B' grade

DARJEELING,: Sonada Degree College which was accredited and accessed for the first time by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has managed to secure a ‘B’ grade. 

The NAAC peer team had visited the college in May end this year and evaluated various aspects of the institution's academic environment, infrastructure, teaching methodologies, research initiatives, and student support systems.

A press release informs that Grade B accreditation is a testament to the college's dedication to maintaining high standards in education.

Expressing his gratitude to the governing body members, alumni and others in achieving the NAAC accreditation, college principal Dr. L.P. Gupta said, “The NAAC accreditation is highly regarded as it validates the quality of education provided by an institution.”

The released further adds that the Grade B accreditation not only recognized the college's current achievements but also paved the way for further growth and improvement.

“The college plans to utilize the accreditation to enhance infrastructure, expand academic offerings, and strengthen research initiatives. This remarkable feat is expected to inspire other institutions in the region to strive for excellence and seek accreditation,” the release adds. “With this accreditation from NAAC, Sonada Degree College solidifies its position as a premier institution dedicated to shaping future leaders with it also signifying the college’s commitment to providing quality education and fostering holistic development.”
