GANGTOK, January : Utkarsh Small Finance Bank inaugurated its first banking outlet in Sikkim today on the occasion of its 8th anniversary. The bank's new branch, located at 10A, National Highway, Gangtok, was inaugurated by Sikkim Express editor Amit Patro alongside representatives from NABARD.
With the addition of this new outlet, the bank now has a robust network of 1043 banking outlets across 27 States and Union Territories of India. It serves to over 48 lakh active customers and is supported by a strong workforce of more than 18,000 employees. Utkarsh Small Finance Bank is known for its customer centric approach and offers attractive interest rates on savings and fixed deposits. It offers savings account interest rates up to 7.75% and fixed deposits rates of up to 9.10% for senior citizens.
The bank started its journey in the year 2009 as a microfinance institution and transitioned into a small financial bank in the year 2017. Today it provides a wide range of services that includes ATMs, net banking and UPI facilities.
