CCCT student among two Sikkim cadets to represent NE in Republic Day Parade

GANGTOK,: Sahil Rai from the Centre for Computers and Communication Technology (CCCT), Chisopani has been selected as one of the two cadets from Sikkim to represent the NSS North-East region in the Republic Day Parade 2025 in New Delhi.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of CCCT, Chisopani informed that Sahil, a final-year student of Department of Civil Engineering, was selected for State-level selection trials and the subsequent Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp in Assam.

At the Assam camp, Sahil underwent 10-day training programme from November 7 to 17 where he further honed his skills. The camp was conducted by the Republic Day Parade Committee.

Among all the participants, only two students from Sikkim, including Sahil, the NSS cadet of CCCT, were chosen to represent the NSS North-East region in the Republic Day Parade 2025 in New Delhi.

“The selection of Sahil Rai for the Republic Day Parade 2025 is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and the robust training provided by the NSS CCCT unit. This achievement not only highlights the potential of youth from CCCT but also serves as an inspiration for other NSS volunteers to actively engage in community service and national events,” the CCCT said.
