GANGTOK,: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay unveiled the tickets for the upcoming ‘Nepathya Live in Sikkim - Let’s Get Loud: Celebrate Sikkim’ concert at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok, on the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day celebrations on August 15.

The ticket launch took place at Paljor Stadium during the final of the Independence Cup football tournament, which was attended by more than 10,000 people. During the interval of the final match, the Chief Minister formally unveiled the concert tickets along with a special Nepathya Live In Sikkim - Let’s Get Loud: Celebrate Sikkim T-shirt, a press release informs.

The unveiling was held in the presence of Sikkim Government ministers Raju Basnet, Sonam Lama and Arun Kumar Upreti, along with SIMFED Chairman Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia, who has also been designated as the Chief Coordinator of the event by the management of Positive Vibes Entertainment Network [PVE Network].

The occasion marked the formal public introduction of the upcoming concert at the same venue where Nepathya will perform later this year.

One of the most celebrated Nepali folk-rock bands, Nepathya will perform in Gangtok for the first time on October 31 at Paljor Stadium.

The concert, titled ‘Nepathya Live in Sikkim - Let’s Get Loud: Celebrate Sikkim’, is being presented by Positive Vibes Entertainment Network [PVE Network] and produced by Nepalaya.

Known for timeless songs including Resham, Taal Ko Pani, Bhedako Oon Jasto and Yo Zindagani, amd orhers, Nepathya has connected generations of Nepali-speaking audiences through a musical identity deeply influenced by folk traditions, culture, landscapes and everyday life.

The Gangtok concert is being envisioned not simply as a musical performance, but as an evening bringing together music, culture and shared identity.

Through Nepathya Live In Sikkim - Let's Get Loud: Celebrate Sikkim, PVE Network intends to build a larger platform around the concert that celebrates Sikkim’s culture, people, hospitality and tourism while generating opportunities for the local creative and business ecosystem.

The initiative aims to use live music as a catalyst for cultural and musical tourism, encouraging audiences from outside the State to travel to Gangtok for the concert while experiencing Sikkim as a destination.

Speaking about the larger purpose behind the initiative, PVE Network Founding Director Bikesh Kayastha said the organisation wants to demonstrate how professionally organised music events can contribute towards positioning Sikkim as a cultural and musical tourism destination.

Tickets for the concert are now available online exclusively through District by Zomato and tickets are selling fast with an expected Sold Out concert.

The organisers expect audiences from across Sikkim as well as Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kurseong, Siliguri, other parts of Northeast India and neighbouring regions to travel to Gangtok for the event.
