PAKYONG, (IPR): Minister, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Fisheries Development departments, cum MLA, Chujachen Constituency, Puran Kumar Gurung, conducted a joint inspection of the PMGSY road from Tshalamthang to Lower Tareythang following damage caused by the ongoing monsoon under Chujachen constituency.

The inspection was undertaken to assess road settlement and damage caused by incessant rainfall and river bank erosion along the PMGSY road connecting Tshalamthang to Lower Tareythang, which provides connectivity to the habitations of Tareythang and Bering. The inspection focused on identifying the affected stretches and reviewing the necessary restoration measures.

During the inspection, the Minister directed the concerned department to immediately deploy manpower and machinery for clearance of debris and restoration of traffic as a temporary measure. To facilitate the movement of light vehicles, he further instructed that stone soling with mixed filling be taken up after completion of the traffic clearance work.

The inspection concluded with the public expressing their gratitude to the Minister and the inspecting team for their prompt response and assurance of necessary remedial measures.
