PAKYONG, (IPR): A coordination meeting for the upcoming ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki
Ore’ (Administration Towards the Village) campaign was held today at the
District Administrative Centre in Pakyong. The meeting, which is part of the
preparations for Good Governance Week 2024, was chaired by Rohan Agawane,
District Collector Pakyong along with Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, ADC Pakyong.
Also
present were key officials from various departments, including the CEO,
Education department; RTO, Transport department, SDM (HQ) Pakyong, deputy directors
of W&CDD, ICDS, Sports and Youth Affairs department, Assistant
Commissioner, Labour department; WO, Social Welfare department; DIO, IPRD; AD,
Fisheries department and ADO Agricultural department.
The
‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign, scheduled to run from December 19 to December
24, 2024, is part of the celebrations for Sushasan Saptah (Good Governance
Week). The objective of the campaign is to promote good governance through
active community participation at the sub-division and block levels. Special
camps and events will be organised to address public grievances and improve
service delivery.
The District
Collector Pakyong highlighted the importance of the campaign in enhancing the
government’s engagement with the public. He urged all officials to ensure
meticulous documentation and emphasised the seriousness of the initiative in
achieving its objectives.
The ADC
Pakyong provided a detailed overview of the campaign’s key activities, which
include:
•Redressal
of Public Grievances: Through special camps, CPGRAMS, and state portals
•Online
Service Delivery: Adding new services for efficient digital access
•Documentation
and Dissemination: Collating and sharing good governance practices along with
success stories of public grievance resolution
•Progress
Reporting: Regular daily progress updates, including photographs, for uploading
on the official web portal
•Workshops:
Organising dissemination workshops to share best practices in governance
The
meeting concluded with a directive for all departments to submit daily progress
reports along with photographs for uploading on the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ web
portal. As per the Government of India’s directives, special emphasis will be
placed on documenting and sharing best practices in good governance across the
district.
The
campaign aims to foster greater transparency, accountability, and
responsiveness within government services, further strengthening the
relationship between the administration and the public.
