Sikkim hip-hop sensation UNB needs votes for IGT triumph

GANGTOK,: The UNB support group held a press conference today in the capital, appealing the people of Sikkim and the entire Northeast to vote for the hip-hop artist and help secure his victory in the on-going ‘India's Got Talent’ reality show.

Ugen Namgyal Bhutia, who goes by the moniker ‘UNB’, is currently one of the top-14 contestants in the national reality show. He has also made a mark in numerous national and international competitions and events prior to this.

Addressing media, Bikash Basnet, press secretary to the Chief Minister, shared information about the upcoming voting session set to commence this Saturday. He encouraged everyone to support UNB by downloading the ‘SonyLIV’ app where an individual can cast up to 50 votes for free.

MLA G.T. Dhungel emphasized the importance of unity in rallying behind UNB, referring to UNB as a proud representative of Sikkim on the national stage. Dhungel called upon the public to unite and cast their votes for UNB.

UNB’s sister Kesang Choden Bhutia spoke of her brother’s impressive rap talents, tracing his passion for the art form back to his school days.  She appealed to well-wishers, friends, and supporters from across the State and the nation to cast their votes in favour of UNB, ultimately contributing to his success in the competition.

UNB is known for advocating for the Northeast region through his music. He has also garnered recognition from notable publications like Rolling Stones India and GQ India.
