NAMCHI,: The inaugural Sikkim Premier
League final will be contested between Singling Football Club and Aakraman
Sporting Club.
Like the first semi-final in
Gangtok on Saturday, the second-semi-final at Namchi’sBhaichung Stadium was
also decided in tie-breaker.
Aakraman Sporting Club beat
Sikkim Dragons FC in penalty shootout after the two teams were level one-all at
the end of extra-time. In the penalties that followed,Aakraman converted three
shots from the spot into goal, while Sikkim Dragons scored two.
Aakramangoalkeeper Nimdup
Lepcha was named the player of the match and Sikkim Dragons’ NarendraTamang the
emerging player.
Power minister MN Sherpa was the chief guest of the match, while
zillaadhakshyaAnjitaRajalim was the special guest.
The final will take place on
April 8.
