GANGTOK,: The BJP Sikkim Mahila Morcha held a coordination meeting today at the BJP City Office, Gangtok, with a focus on strengthening the organisation, reviewing ongoing activities, and chalking out programmes for the coming days.
A State BJP press release informs that the meeting was held in the presence of Mahila Morcha in-charge Pooja Sharma, Mahila Morcha president Srijana Chettri, vice president Rita Chettri and general secretary Tara Subba, ST Morcha vice president Sangay Doma Bhutia, Chalak Morcha president Rajeney Gurung along with Morcha executives, district presidents, women leaders and functionaries from across the State.
At the outset, the Mahila Morcha extended its heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Roop Kumari Chaudhary on her appointment as the National President of BJP Mahila Morcha. The members expressed confidence that under her leadership, guidance and organisational vision, Mahila Morcha will reach new heights and further strengthen the participation and leadership of women within the party across the country.
The meeting deliberated on various organisational matters, reviewed the functioning of the Mahila Morcha at different levels and discussed strategies for strengthening its presence across the State. Particular emphasis was laid on organising women-centric programmes and initiatives aimed at connecting with women from different sections of society and taking forward the vision of women-led development.
The meeting also stressed the need for further organisational expansion and grassroots outreach, with the participation of more women leaders, workers and members. Newly joined women leaders and members were welcomed into the organisation and apprised of the ideology, principles and programmes of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Mahila Morcha.
The leadership called upon all functionaries to work with dedication, unity and a strong spirit of service, while ensuring that the organisation reaches every section of society and women across Sikkim are actively connected with the party's vision of Nari Shakti, Seva and Viksit Bharat, the release mentions.
