RANGPO,: Amar Subba finished 5th in the 60-km category of BRUTE Trail Run Championship held in Basar, Arunachal Pradesh.
Reflecting on his performance, Subba shared that he had secured third place in the same event last year but was affected by an injury this time, limiting his performance. “I gave my best under the circumstances, but the injury slowed me down,” he said.
The BRUTE Trail Run is part of a prestigious national league, offering participants the opportunity to earn over 500 International Trail Running Association points. These points are pivotal for athletes aiming to qualify for the World Trail Championship 2025 selection trials, which will be organized by the Athletic Federation of India.
Subba emphasized the significance of such opportunities, saying, "Representing India in the World Trail Championship would be a dream come true."
