Nimsang Limboo shatters his own record at BRUTE 4.0

GANGTOK,: Nimsang Limboo, a trail runner from Sidibung, Darap in West Sikkim, has shattered his own course record at the 30 km BRUTE 4.0 Trail Run.

Limboo completed the gruelling race with an elevation gain of 1700 meters in an impressive 2 hours, 58 minutes and 7 seconds, improving his previous record by an astonishing 45 minutes.

He won the 30 km men's category for second straight year.

The 4th Edition of BRUTE (Basar Running Ultra Trail Experience), held annually at Basar, is recognized as one of the biggest international trail running events in Northeast India, drawing elite athletes from across the country and abroad.

Nimsang will next represent India at the prestigious UTMB World Series Trail Race scheduled to be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from December 5 to 8.

Limboo is one of only two athletes in the country supported by Hell Race Sports Foundation, one of the premier trail-running organizations in India. Additionally, he holds the distinction of being the top-ranked trail running athlete in India under the International Trail Running Association (ITRA), with the highest ITRA index points, informs a press release.
